There has been a huge increase in the prevalence of microbes in today’s world, which can have devastating effects on health. There are 5 main categories of microbes: virus, bacteria, parasites, molds, and yeast/candida. The last three, in my experience, are largely overlooked and/or not treated properly by the vast majority of health care professionals. (For our approach to viruses and bacteria, select “recurrent colds/infections” under “Conditions we Treat.”
Yeast overgrowth is extremely common today. The major reasons for this is over-consumption of refined carbohydrates, especially sugar along with stress, antibiotic use, birth control pills. They contribute to a wide variety of symptoms such as fatigue, depression, sinus and allergy problems, gas/bloating and weight gain.
Our exposure to parasites has greatly increased over the past decade; many feel it has reached epidemic proportions. Parasites refer to the wide variety of microorganisms that exist in a parasitic relationship with the body and cause health problems especially digestive, sinus and skin problems. Molds, which are everywhere, have similar consequences to yeast/candida. We have developed considerable expertise over the past 16 years in detecting and correcting problems in these areas.
