Dr. Mindel has helped me with a wide variety of health problems, from generalized “weakness” to focused pain. I’ve also had periods of exhaustion with no direct relationship to any obvious cause such as a virus. Dr. Mindel, far from dismissing such a nebulous complaint, has addressed the myriad causes, often different each time, that result in the symptoms. Dr. Mindel listens, loves his work and delights in the human body.
Because he is not attached to a particular theory or method, he uses the one that is best suited to each patient’s body and lifestyle. This saves his clients enormous amounts of time and energy shuttling between different types of alternative and allopathic doctors, trying this treatment or that. Perhaps most appealing to me about Dr. Mindel is what he does not do: he does not subscribe to a diet-that-fits-all, or a lifestyle-that-everyone-should-do, the latest fad, or untested folk medicine. He talks straight, treating each person with respect and each body as the miracle that it is.

I first came to Dr. Mindel prompted by a gift certificate for consultation I received at Christmas. Tired of the treatments and prescriptions my general practitioner handed me whenever I went to him with a health issue, I decided it would be a good idea to seek out a new approach to my health. I knew what I didn’t want from a health practitioner. I didn’t want to get handed a prescription and told, “You have a problem and here’s the drug that has a 90% chance of making it go away.” This is science right? There’s a cause and effect to everything, so why can’t someone tell me what is causing my problems?
When I began seeing Dr. Mindel I was constantly tired, my back ached and my lack of enthusiasm for just about everything was reflected in my health and demeanor. These were not typical characteristics or traits of mine and having been treated the last few years without progress, I was beginning to worry that I was falling apart at the seams. After speaking with Dr. Mindel that first time and visiting him thereafter, I have noticed a definite change in my ability to manage the stresses in my life, job and environment, as well as understand the reactions my body has. I’ve begun to understand how my body and mind work together. It’s actually quite nice to know I’m not falling apart.
